Step by Step guide to dental implants abroad
Initial Consultation
The first step on your journey to dental implants abroad is a consultation with a qualified surgeon. They will assess your situation, conduct and evaluate a 3D CAT scan, and determine your suitability for implants, root canal treatments, or sinus lifts/bone grafts.
Dental implants are not suitable for every individual. Sometimes there isn’t enough bone available, or there may be other health issues. In some cases, additional procedures such as sinus lifting or bone grafts may be required. We will never sell you something that isn’t suitable for you. Additionally, we will take every measure to ensure the treatment your receive applies to your case. Our team will describe all results and procedures to you in detail and answer any questions.
Implant Surgery
Implant surgery is a serious but not major surgery. It can be conducted with a local anesthetic and is generally painless. The surgery can take in the region of 3 to 6 days, depending on how many implants are being given and any other procedures that will take place. First, the implant is inserted. Then the gums must pass through a healing period of 3 to 6 months. After that is complete, the implant is exposed, an impression is taken, and the crown is fitted.
Post Surgery
After the initial surgery, a healing period of 3 to 6 months is required. Your surgeon will discuss your case with you and advise how long the period will take. During this time, Our dentists can fit you with temporary teeth which will remain in place during the healing period. After the healing period has passed, you return to Albania for testing, adjustments, and the final fitting of the crown, bridge, or dentures. This process takes between 4 to 8 days.
